He was accompanied by John Etheridge (ex- soft Machine) with whom he recorded a dozen of songs for the album "Invisible Threads" released in 1994. This was the first gig of the european leg of the tour. One of my friend with me this night lend me his Panasonic recorder and the entire show was recorded from the upper row. This recording is an exact copy of my master tape. Below this is an extract of the report I wrote for the Outlandos fan-club newsletter (sept. 94 issue): "Andy and John sat on chairs in the middle of the huge stage with only two amps and effect units behind them. The concert was a fantastic duet of accoustic guitars. The two guys appeared completely at ease with a real rapport between them. At the end of the show, Andy was fooling around with the mic, hiding it in his shirt, juggling with it. As always he was very funny, joking with the audience all the time. When we, my friends and I, were convinced there was definitely going to be no more songs and most of the audience had left the auditorium, we wandered towards the backstage area, expecting to be stopped at any moments by security guards, but there was none ! We could hear Andy's voice and there was his and John's dressing room, door open, so we just walked in. "Hello" they both said and then happily signed my things (CD, ticket) and posed for some backstage photos. Andy saw I was wearing the "Ghost In The Machine" Police T-shirt and I jockingly said it was a very famous band and asked Andy if he knows it. Then he replied that there was a really great guitarist playing in it. And laught at his own joke." Inclosed you will find a few pictures I took. So enjoy this complete show !
