Yet another unissued special from Andy and Gary’s box-in-the-loft. Gary didn’t go to this one, so I did this on my own. The sound is fairly decent….check the mp3 sample. A pretty subdued and relatively short set from the Bunnymen. I think McCullough had a cold. For some reason, the crowd is also fairly subdued….very unusual for a Top Rank crowd in Brighton. Then again, it was 1981, when studied indifference and shoe-gazing was all the rage. For those of you who downloaded my other recent Bunnymen upload, perhaps you should check back on that torrent, because I made a mistake on the recording date. That show was NOT on March 10th 1983, but on March 14th. Forgive my error. Also, I have uploaded another photo from that night, which you may fancy. As I’ve often said in the past, this site has a bad reputation for people simply downloading and then not bothering to leave a comment. You know who you are and SHAME on you, you bast**ds. As I’ve also often said, feel free to listen to this in whatever digital format suits your lifestyle. I wouldn’t dream of being so arrogant as to dictate something like that. Enjoy the show! andyh
