Paint It Black [2:50] Lineage: TAPE > WAVELAB > FLAC (Level 8) A Borzage / Calimero Production NOTES: "Calimero" gave me some of his tapes that have been sleeping in a box since 15/20 years. This is the 9th of his to share. This is the last concert of the original line-up of ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN in Paris. And what a gig! Great improvisation by Ian Mcculloch on tracks like "Lips like Sugar", "Thorn of crowns" & of course "Do it clean". Bu they didn't play "the game" which was the single released in summer 88. The last great track from Echo & theBunnymen for me even if a bit cheesy. Well, Calimero got this tape in a trade back in those days. The funny thing is i have bought the same tape in the late eighties (but i don't know where it is). Of course, it's not a soundboard but it's a great audience tape with a great setlist and a band in top form. Sadly (or not), the year after (88) Ian Mcculloch left the band and in 89 pete defreitas, the drummer, died at the age of 27. And that was it. Let's forget what happened to the band different incarnations after. it was something else. another band... As the tape has suffered a bit, i just applied a small drop in the 10k frequency (20 band graphic eq) to reduce the noise of the tape. And let's thank Calimero for his tapes.
