Longfellow and Whitman". During Consider Me Gone a strange noise came out of the sound system. Sting forced the band to stop playing: "Wait a minute, wait a minute. Who did that? Who played that wrong note? Was it you Branford? Kenny? Mino? It certainly wasn't Tracy. I think it was the drummer. You [??] little [??]. So, I apologize for the behaviour of whoever that was". Sting and band continued performing the song. A few seconds later another strange noise was heard. Again Sting stopped the band and said laughing: "Wait a minute. This is not arranged. I'm going to the bottom of this. Who has done this? It is the syntheziser". "Wath him. Everybody watch Branford". After another noise Sting pointed out to Branford: "It is you. You are fired. Alright, you can come back". A Chilean wooden pipes player joined the band during They Dance Alone and gave the music authenic flavor. This was the first of two shows at the Oakland Coliseum (second show performed on March 25, 1988).
