Many thanks to the taper! -compiled 2010-01-16 ---NOT FOR SALE - TRADE/SHARE FREELY--- From Rogier's Police Page: On 26-02-1993 Sting told fans in Miami: "I'll do London even if it's kills me". On 05-03-1993 he returned from the USA in London and it seemed the five London shows would be performed as planned. The night before the first show the news was spread that the first three shows (on March 8, 9 and 10) would be cancelled. Due to a severe case of laryngitis Sting was forced to postpone the first three shows at the Royal Albert Hall on March 8, 9 and 10. Tickets for the postponed shows were automatically valid for the rescheduled dates on April 19, 21 and 22. Although the first three shows were cancelled Sting and the band rehearsed at the Royal Albert Hall in the afternoon of March 9, 10, 11 and 12. After an absence of nine years Sting performed a live version of Synchronicity II again. The day after Sting cancelled the three Royal Albert Hall shows the manufacturers of TCP (an antiseptic health care product) placed large press advertisements showing a bottle of their product and the message "Could take a sore throat out of your Sting..he should try gargling with this Massage in a Bottle".
