It's an ok recording, a tad more distant than I would have liked, and worse, a VERY enthusiastic fan that screams during the recording. I hated her". Remarks: Sting's Brand New Day tour started off in relatively small venues (mostly theaters) in the US. This show is special because of the impromptu performance of My One And Only Love (requested by someone in the audience). Just before Message In A Bottle Sting recalls the first time The Police performed in Washington ("There were only five people there"). This was most likely at The Bayou on May 2, 1979. Is there anyone out there who can confirm this date? I already had a recording of this show, but this is another source! line-up: Sting - vocals, bass (guitar on A Thousand Years, Message In A Bottle and Fragile) / Dominic Miller - guitar (bass on A Thousand Years and Fragile) / Manu Katché - drums / Mark "Kipper" Eldridge - keyboards / Jason Rebello - keyboards / Chris Botti - trumpet / Lorraine Barnes - backing vocals / Mandy LeCointe - backing vocals / Samantha Swambi - backing vocals Big thanks to keytohwy for recording this show!
