I don't subscribe to XM, or have a satellite radio. I learned a few days before the airing of the concert that all of XM's channels are now carried by DirecTV which I do subscribe to. Next came the task of recording the show. I had known for a long time that tapers of FM broadcast concerts often taped them using their VCR. We are talking "old-school" here, back-in-the-day. There were several reasons...no tape flips, a higher quality tape, etc. Right or wrong, I decided that I would try this method. I don't have a standalone burner, so I figured this would give me the best quality that I could achieve. History: DirecTV Broadcast > Recorded on Maxell Premium Grade T-120 Tape in SD mode, on a Toshiba VCR/DVD (DVD player) combo deck. > Transfered via ADS DVDXpressDX2 as MPEG2 (DVD Quality) > Used "Xilisoft Video to Audio Converter 3" to create WAV > Used CD Wave Editor 1.91 to chop up the WAV > Recorded, Transferred & Autored By Barcode_Boy Re-Autored By Stinidt & U2Kristall. Lineage: WAV > Adobe Audition 1.5 > Light Hiss Reduction > Final WAV > Master CD
