With thanks to Daddy 515 for the loan of the master tape of this show, the Nevinsrip Basement Tapes is back with another NYC area Police show. This is the Bottom Line broadcast by WNEW FM on April 4, 1979. This show is unique, because the band runs out of songs and is forced to play “Can’t Stand Losing You” twice. Once during the main set and again as an Encore. This is another excellent show with great sound as you would expect from an FM broadcast. I hace included the DJ”s comments as ususal and there is a tape flip causing the end of “Roxanne” to be a seperate track. The encore of “Can’t Stand Losing You” is probably the best version of this song I have ever heard. It smokes!!! Maybe we can convince JD to upload his fab artwork to complete the set!!
