On Tuesday January 19th 1982 I went to my first Police concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. I had been a fan for a long time, but seeing live was something special. These guys genuinely looked like they were having fun. The sound three guys could make...well, you already know about all that. They rocked a sold out coliseum. Pure energy. I didn't get to meet the band, but I think I more than made up for it. After the concert I went straight to the stage and the roadies were breaking down the equipment. I was very lucky! I got a guitar pick, a "pass list," and one of Stewart's drum skins. Back in those days I was fast. Since 1982 I have been looking for that concert, hoping that it existed. A couple of years ago I found artwork that convinced me that someone had it. Today, after I complete this download the quest is over! Radlizzard and I have been chatting over the past several days; I helped find him some shows he has been looking for. Ken has increased my Police collection through his seeds on Dime, and when he put out the call recently for some Andy Summers shows I was happy to help find them. When he asked if I was looking for any shows, I almost did not respond; I was simply trying to help him find shows that he was looking for, with no ulterior motives. If you have read this far, you know that he had the show. He then asked if he should seed it, or mail me a copy. I know that by seeding this show that Ken is making more than me happy, and I am extremely happy! Thanks Ken! So 25 years, 3 months and 8 days later, Radlizzard presents The Police Notes from Ken: Carlo and I and a few others are looking for tapers that are committed to taping the upcoming shows as well as people who have taped past shows. So if there are any (former or future!) tapers reading this, please get in touch via PM or email. We would love to hear your masters and share ours with you. Taping and sharing the joy these shows bring to everyone should be the main goal. Dime is such an invaluable asset it is hard to find the words to say how great Dime is and the generous people around the world sharing all the great shows here. Thank you Dime and Thank you to all the tapers of these great shows. If it weren’t for you, us "young-ins" would not have been so lucky. Dimeadozen.org: Torrent 144600 (by radlizzard)
