The band (particularly Andy Summers) gave the appearance of wanting to be almost anywhere else, but the performance was solid and the crowd was thrilled. No setlist surprises, of course, but the band gave a full-force show highlighted (for me) with the total enthusiasm that Stewart Copeland showed banging out the percussion parts. Andy looked bored, Sting was professional and solid, and Stewart was acting like a kid living out his rock star fantasies. That said, in listening to the show you will probably find no discernible difference with any other tour date from the last six months. That's not really a criticism -- everything both good and bad that could be reported about this tour has already been said. They look and sound great, and the tour is definitely a must-see for anyone who liked their music 20 years ago -- but there's nothing in their performances that gives the impression they are trying to build on their past glories. This is a good performance and varied (though stale) setlist, and worth having for Police collectors. Casual fans may consider it worth having simply because the show took place at the very end of the reunion tour. Quality-wise, I was happy with how it came out. I was next to the soundboard, three rows after the break. The sound was perfect, and I was blessed with mostly silent fans all around me. The balance, for a three-piece, was really good (not as good for Elvis Costello -- the keyboards were routinely drowned out during his opening set). The bass comes out too heavy in a couple of points, causing some distortion on the recording, but that's a minor blemish. Overall, it's a very enjoyable recording (IMO). Mp3 samples are attached. Checksum file is included. Dimeadozen.org: Torrent 207215 (by ademotte)
