Well, what have we here? Yes, indeed, another previously uncirculated master courtesy of Harwilmer, this time complete, including the final song "40"! And even though we don't seem to be making the desired progress in helping TA with the now famous/infamous "wish list", he has generously made this available to U2 bootleg fans far and wide. First off, this is truly a fantastic gift to the U2 concert bootleg community! A never before widely circulated master from the UF tour... Quality? This is a clear recording, the music capture is quite good, I'd rate it as A-, but as the French say, a chacun son gout. The crowd and some screamers are heard, but almost exclusively during lulls in some songs and between songs. There is a fade out at the very end of Bad, and fade in as October begins, no doubt reflecting a tape flip. There is a single previously torrent shared version of this show: U2 – Centrum – Worcester, Massachusetts – December 2, 1984 (“Unforgettable Fire Worcester”) which corresponds with what the great reference site achtungbootlegs.com describes as having been derived from a "low generation cassette", with these comments regarding the concert itself: "After testing a 'new configuration' for their setlist in Philadelphia, U2 returned to the backbone of the concerts given at the end of the European Leg, with the notable exception of Two Hearts Beat As One which was not performed. This concert marked a real first for U2, who sold out a concert hall (and not just a club or a theater) in the USA. Indeed, the Centrum in Worcester was sold out with its 11,000 seats. Many fans were nevertheless gathered outside to enjoy the concert." Justin Cook's archived web pages suggest that what he called "Mass Appeal" is the same item. Just FYI, the original torrent was accompanied by much discussion as to the proper pronounciation of "Worcester"...no, it is NOT "WOR-CHESTER", but instead, "Wooster"! And there is no letter "h" between the "r" and the "c"!! U2Torrents.com: Torrent 11074 (by petergoode)
