I traded for this show somewhere around 1986. I recognize the handwriting as coming from a guy I did a lot of swaps with in that era but whose name escapes me. He was an early completist when it came to U2. Had an amazing paper list that is probably somewhere in my parents' basement. Anyway, the show has been up on the tracker before and Justin lists a first gen > DAT > CD transfer with favorable comments though I couldn't vouch for its provenance. This could be the same source. I am very impressed by the punch and proximity of this recording. The bass is ever-so-slightly peaky in parts, likely because the taper is so close to the PA. Otherwise it is very clear, powerful and enjoyable. The fresh Nak transfer is straight. No mastering. No music cuts in the master either. Works for me. Samples provided.
