San Francisco, CA, History of this set: D6 Master (Flannigan)> DAT> CDR>SHN>CDR>EAC>FLAC NOTE: From the comments last time, I think this is the JEMS version, which were done on a D6. It wasn't clear whether JEMS would be posting their masters versions any time soon, but if this is the JEMS source, it should be as close as you can get. I listened to this and didn't hear any defects, and used EAC secure to extract. Any questions let me know. Comments: Wow, this is one of the most amazing recordings I have ever heard. The clarity and mix are about perfect, and audience noise is not at all a problem. This is apparently better than "The Joshua Tree on Fire," the pressed bootleg of this show. I noticed, as did another trader, that the bass is a pretty loud. I don't think it detracts from the show, as is the case in other bass-heavy recordings, though it creates a little distortion at a very few times, though not to the extent of other shows. The set this night was awesome, featuring "Electric. Co.," "Mothers of the Disappeared," and the first concert performance of "Springhill Mining Disaster." Other highlights include an excellent "Bad" and a gutsy "With or Without You" where Bono continued in the higher octave in "nothing to win..." An overall oustanding show and performance, a must-have.
