With Or Without You [6:49] 10. 40 [6:39] This bootleg starts off so poorly that I immediately thought it would be the worst recording in my collection when listening to it the first time. Suffice to say that "Where the Streets Have No Name" is essentially a waste of disc space. The bass is far too high and it sounds as if the person recording the show was standing outside of the stadium. The sound is muffled and the thundering, dull bass only makes matters worse. Thankfully, things improve and by the time "I Will Follow" begins, the sound is much clearer -- the recorder must have made his way inside of the building by this point! This is not to say that the sound is suddenly wonderful. There is still some persistent static in the background and the crispness that is a feature of any audience recording worthy of an "B+" or greater isn't there. Audience noise is certainly audible and stray conversations can be heard at times. Also, there is a small skip at the beginning of "With Or Without You". Note from the uploader on U2T: OK, this is my 1st time so I hope this works. This the 1st U2 show I attended, I was 15yrs old, it completely blew my mind, been a fan since I was 13yrs. I'm in the process of transfering all my old cassettes to CD this was my 1st attempt, I removed some of the hiss using Audacity. It's better that it was ! The 1st 2 mins of Streets are really dodgy but it settles down. I have about 20 shows on cassette and 5 on vinyl, quality varies from excellent to very poor I have no idea who taped this, I copied form a mate who bought form a record fair a couple of months after the show. I'm a complete novice so please tell me if I'm doing anything wrong.
