Jeff has an excellent record player, thus most of the "ticks" and "pops" that are present on the average vinyl to CDR conversion are not audible on this recording. Furthermore, Jeff went to great pains to eliminate as many of the blemishes that were audible as possible. Using Cool Edit, he zoomed in to only a fraction of a second to detect and remove as many "pops" and "clicks" as he could. The result is a very nice bootleg -- much better than "Joshua Tree Dublin", the only other complete recording of this concert available in CDR form to my knowledge. The fades were necessitated by the fact that each vinyl record contained only six to eight songs. My preliminary scan of this recording netted only one minor blemish besides the occasional "tick" -- an edit between "Exit" and "In God's Country", during which only crowd noise is lost. Also of note, "New Year's Day fades in over one minute into the song.
