The group plays a great concert for there hometown. They sound relaxed, Bono is full of jokes, one liners and he's talky. The concerts starts with a "raw" coverversion of Stand by me, a nice version of C'mon everybody follows. The Edge sings a verse of the song. And it seems to be "tradition" Still haven't found what I'm looking for gets a long intro. Bono explains the crowd, how he heard this song on the radio and was thinking by himself, that the radio never sounded so good! The crowd is very interactive and songs like Sunday bloody Sunday, the singing along is very loud and encouraged by Bono. Bad, a duet by Bono and Lou Reed. The part where Bono starts to improvise about Lou Reed, just wonderful. (I just wonder, did he rehearsed this or made it up the same moment?) During the beautiful version of New Year's day, Bono starts to laugh. What happened there? "This young lady, has standing in the rain for 6 hours, like the rest of you. BUT this young lady, along with me thinks the sun shines out Larry back site" Seems this was the sign the young lady was holding up! With or with out you, Bono keeps singing, the song is 7:50 minutes! Sound quality and clarity are both excellent. Audience participation can be heard, but is not overly distracting. This bootleg would make a very nice addition to any Joshua Tree collection. JUSTIN'S NOTE: This is a much better recording than "Rock's Hottest Ticket Volumes 1&2". Sound quality and clarity are both excellent. Audience participation can be heard, but is not overly distracting. This bootleg would make a very nice addition to any Joshua Tree collection.
