"Edge strikes the wrong notes at the start of I Still Haven't Found.  Bono mocks: 'Forgotton how to play this, Edge?  Well, gee, this is my big moment, right, I get to play guitar!'  The audience sing as one, inspiring Bono to extend the song considerably.  During Running to Stand Still he explains: 'It's a true story about the city I grew up in, about two people so driven by a need to fill their veins with heroin, they would do anything, risk anything.  We're all addicted to something.  Me?  I'm addicted to being up here.'  Recalling the previous night, Bono asks for the house lights to be lit after New Year's Day.  'Well, last night we had the house lights breaking down, tonight we had Edge's guitar breaking down, but does it matter?'  "Nooooo' yell the crowd.  Out of Control is a welcome surprise and for the rest of the tour will only be performed sporadically, usually in cities where U2 have a fanatical following.  The song drives the crowd nuts. 'Some kinds of chaos you can learn to love,' Bono says."
