Long Island, NY Source: Original silver disc (cda) > with CDex to wav > with FLAC Frontend (level 6) to flac Converted by REDROCKS Manufacturer: Who Am I? Catalog: WAI 018/19 Matrix Disc 1: TSD WAI-018 Matrix Disc 2: TSD WAI-019 Barcode: None Sound Quality: Very good soundboard. There is some static on a few tracks (particularly "October") and some of the high frequencies are cut off slightly, however both are minor problems. The CD is still great to listen to. The bonus tracks are of good quality. Comments: The band puts on a great performance for Denver. During the set, Bono briefly mentions the Red Rocks show they played over 4 years ago. The bootleg claims the source was the November 8 show. See also MCNICHOL'S ARENA. As for the "bonus tracks", they are recordings (about 35 minutes worth) of Bono and Edge working on a song or two with acoustic guitars, with the "help" of Jimmy Iovine (not Daniel Lanois, as is claimed on the packaging). These recordings were pulled straight from one of the 'Rattle And Hum' outtakes videos. At the beginning of the session, they're listening to a tape of some U2 studio sessions, then they begin changing it around and experimenting. The song is "She's Gonna Blow Your House Down", which appears on the SALOME 'Achtung Baby' outtakes (Disc 2, Tracks 8,9,11). Edge begins playing "Van Diemen's Land", without lyrics, although it seems is if he hasn't quite finished it yet. All in all, a pretty interesting recording. This is the original pressing on this label.
