Love Is Blindness [5:41] Received in trade on CDR, unspecified lineage. Lineage: ? > CDR(?) > iTunes (WAV) > Shorten (SHN) Quality: This is what I consider to be a good audience recording. Bono's singing and the rest of the band's music come through clear and crisp well above audience noise. Some talking/clapping whistling is evident between songs, but little to none during. Known errors: There's a split-second drop early in Zoo Station. Personal comments: "Welcome to ZOO TV, where the lovestories begins. Our very own soap opera." Bono isn't very talky this evening, but he's throwing a lot of one-liners in and between the songs. (Some of them are funny ones.) It's obvious that the band is enjoying themselves. Mysterious ways and One are performed fantastic. Until the end, The Edge at his best during the guitarsolo. This evening they play a rather short version of Bad, only 5:08 min. During the snippet of All I want is you, the audience is interactive. Every word of the song is sang loud along. Bullet the blue sky is a loud and aggressive song, but the way Bono brings it tonight, it sounds even more angry and aggressive than usual. The Edge is supporting him with a even aggressive guitar solo. Running to stand still, the hallelujah ending is very strong and passionated performed by Bono. Magic... Still haven't found what I'm looking for, listened a couple of times to it, just to be sure. Bono sounds now and then very Irish. It doesn't happen often but this is one of the times he does. And what a great version it is! This recording has a good and crisp sound, however there are some imperfections. The instruments are a bit too loud, so Bono is shove aside at moments. During the talking moments there's a little echo, so it's a bit difficult to understand Bono, when he's talking. Between the songs audience is present, sometimes very loud. Also on a few songs the audience is very interactive (singing along, going nuts during some songs.) But this isn't distracting at all, it ads a great live feeling to the recording. The performance of the group is so superb, song after song, that you don't want to pass up this recording, just because the little imperfections!
