Love Is Blindness [6:11] Comments: Solid audience recording from early on (the first week or so, I believe) of U2's "Zoo TV" tour. The performance is very tentative given that they were still getting accustomed to all of the gear accompanying them on this trip; the tags are very brief and you will find that Bono doesn't expand on the music nearly as much as he did later on in the tour. I was fortunate to see this show; the crowd was absolutely ecstatic and I thought it was a very good set overall, just not as "experimental" as one would find several months later once they became comfortable with the material. The shows from this point of the tour are interesting; sort of an embryonic view of what would become a classic tour. The sound quality is pretty good overall; well balanced, and not too much audience interference. It is probably not among the top aud's of the tour, but very listenable. I have no idea what tracker this came from; I downloaded it in 2005 -- I think from the U2torrents.com site. Many thanks to the original seeder. (Note: The original torrent contained an unknown live version of "The Hands That Built America" as filler. I deleted that and regenerated the md5 signature files, since it doesn't appear that the track was part of the boot CD.) This would be a good d/l for fans of this era that haven't heard any of the early Zoo TV material; it's interesting to compare this one against the shows from, say, the summer tour where they really expanded upon the music.
