Walk On [8:19] Source: Sony D-8 DAT> Sound Pro Cardioids> Panasonic SV3800> Marantz CDR630> cdr Taper: Mellow Recordings Location: 1st row balcony,Sec 324 (behind the stage) NOTE: This bootleg was produced by Mellow Recordings and sold as part of a four volume set documenting the entire four night stand in Boston during the first leg of the Elevation Tour. From what I understand, the bootleg was sold individually for $25.00 or the entire four volume set could be purchased for $80.00. Opinions regarding these bootlegs vary considerably, but I think that a lot of the negative views can be attributed to a strong anti-selling contingent among U2 collectors. These bootlegs could be flawless and members of this faction would still have something bad to say about them because these bootlegs were produced with one thing in mind: a profit for Mellow Recordings. Don't get me wrong, this recording isn't on the same level as the many EX+ AUD Elevation bootlegs out there. However, sound quality is quite good and there is virtually no audience noise. Given the taper's location (front row of the balcony behind the stage), this recording sounds surprisingly good. The volume fluctuates a bit during "Elevation" as the taper adjusts his recording levels, but the sound evens out from that point on.
