Equipment: Core Sound Binaural mics > D100 > DAT master > optical cable > HK stand alone > CDRW > EAC > normailized levels Comments: An excellent sounding show from the Elevation Tour. From Pimm's book: The main surprise of the night is the inclusion of When I Look At The World at the end of Bad. This is the first and only time this is done on the tour. Bono sings two verses and the choruses - a little longer than most of his adlibs at the end of Bad. It all comes together because a fan has brought the lyrics to the show - signed by some 40 people in the GA line (I WAS ONE OF THEM!). The fan hands them to Bono. Later on, A.J., during Bad, puts a large sheet of paper on the stage near Bono - containing the words to When I Look At The World. Afterwords, John Sampson seems to be the one most excited by the fact that the song got played. He later explains he'd gone to the band's dressing room with the fan's 'petition' and told them the heart wanted to hear the song. Bono had started singing it on the spot and Edge picked up a guitar to rehearse. Peace On Earth is a little longer on this night. Bono sings two verses and the refrain, while Larry plays a quiet drumbeat to the back.
