Walk On [6:33] Source 1 (Taper reportedly a Philips Arena employee who tapped into a suite/box line feed): Soundboard DAT > CD-R > MKW > shn> MD5 > U2Torrents #6369 Source 2 (Taper: Steve Hendrix, Mastering: Jason Engel): Audio Technica Lavalier Mics > Sony M-1 > DAT master > Sony 600 > Optical cable > Pioneer stand-alone CD burner > CDR master > EAC secure (WAV) > Soundforge 8 (edits) > CD Wave (tracking) > Trader's Little Helper (FLAC) > U2Torrents #9584 Mr Bygz Matrix Notes: SBD source is very clear, but lacks full "sonicness" -- sound is quite sterile and overall crowd noise is not prominent, detracting from the feel of a concert. Steve H's AUD source has a nice broad sound and is virtually free of screamers and talkers (a few instances of close talking during the quietest parts of the show). The two sources seemed perfect for a matrix attempt -- my first. Mr Bygz Matrix Process: Decoded source SHN and FLAC files to WAV. Combined individual WAV files from each source into 4 large WAV files (Disc 1 and Disc 2) using EAC. Used Audacity 2.0.2 to create the matrix, worked each Disc separately. Mirrored track times and disc split point to SBD source. Applied very minor tempo adjustment to SBD source. Increased DB level on AUD source, decreased DB level on SBD source. Added fade-ins and fade-outs to AUD source to match SBD source. Split matrix WAVs using EAC. Notes: Huge thanks to Steve and Jason for their work on the AUD source - and to the SBD taper and uploader! Many thanks to all tapers and sound editors! Please do not sell -- share freely and losslessly. Matrix created and uploaded by Mr Bygz (bygz on U2Torrents, mjbygz on Dime). U2Torrents.com: Torrent 9604 ( by bygz)
