Yahweh [4:11] 13. 40 [8:31] Taper, Source, Lineage: unknown (probably was used Zargors recording for this) note: this does sound a bit more crisp than Zargors, but it sounds like someone pushed up the volume or did add 3 db. So also this is definitive a re-done work or a re-mastered thing. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'm almost sure there is only a 3 dB difference in volume, the difference you may hear is the added harshness on highs because Dublin III wasn't hard limited and the resulting compression of the dinamics. The rest looks exactly the same. Please see attached pictures, on top is the Zargor source with a +3 dB volume increment. I can't see any difference in the waveforms. the Dublin III was increased in volume and hard limited (or simply roofed it seems) so it has some compression effect because of this. That's probably why they sound a bit different, this kind of compression also reduces dynamics and tend to get out the voice from the mix (and nearby frequencies). Personally I'd prefer Ath Cliath A Tri, more dynamics and less hot, usually it's a question of luck that you can't hear distortion in topped audios like Dublin III.
