Comments: [Original Review]: Where to start? Well, many of these songs have never been played live so it's amazing how Allen Records got U2 to perform for them exclusively. I have one word for this: Bogus! Many of these tracks are taken directly from B-Sides with crowd noise overlapping the tracks. Avoid this one at all costs. You have been warned. Track 18 is listed on the CD cover as "Night And Day", but the actual song on the CD is "Running To Stand Still". This track is also one of the best versions I have heard. For the record, I have heard four different live versions. The songs that are actually live are from the 1993 Dublin broadcast. [Zem's Review]: Firstly, the live songs are not from the 1993 Dublin broadcast, but from different 1992 Outside Broadcast shows. Do you remember the U2 Thanksgiving Special that was aired on TV around the world at the end of 1992? It had live stuff, Interference, documentaries, interviews, shash and Zoo TV. It was centred around Outside Broadcast, and this CD surfaced soon afterwards, and the Thanksgiving Special is the source of the live tracks. In fact, many of the live tracks are cut where David Saltz (the Zoo TV reporter) was talking, or where the whole song wasn't played Streets). Secondly, there is a gem on this CD which I think the original reviewer overlooked. Track four is listed as Wire, but it is in fact a remix of Wire. I don't know what the remix is titled. I have never heard it anywhere else, nor heard of it. But it is definitely worth listening to, and expands on the original. That song alone makes this CD worth having. Another reason that this CD is worth having is the fact that the live tracks that haven't been uncut are very good performances. After all, these are the ones U2 chose to be shown on the Special. In particular, Mysterious Ways, Until the End, Bullet and Running are all amazingly good renditions, and soundboard recordings. This is the original pressing on this label.
