Interviewer: Dave Fanning. Interview Edited and Produced by Ian Wilson. Dave Fanning has a nightly radio show on RTE's Radio Two (the pop / rock side of Ireland's National Radio.) One of his early favourites was a young Dublin band called U2. Nowadays everyone has heard of them and even Dave is quite well known, regularily featuring in the annual reader's poll of the British rock weekly, The New Musical Express. Dave Fanning's producer is Ian Wilson, who invariably carries the troubles of the world on his shoulders. The U2 Talkie is the result of conversations with the band at the end of February 1987.
