COMMENTS: This is the complete concert that the early Dire Straits performed for the TV show Rockpalast. This is the only proshot video recording for most of the songs. Also the only complete concert with the two Knopfler brothers. The original band: a four piece band without keyboards, saxophone, etc. playing to a few people. Video and audio quality are both great. This is a must for Dire Straits fans, specially for those who love the first two albums. The bonus are quite interesting but the quality of the Live Aid songs is not the best.

Dire straits were fast becoming one of the UK finest bands of the late 70's. After the release of huge hit "Sultans Of Swing" the bands popularity was increasing quickly. Led by Mark Knopfler with his unique guitar style the band ventured on a world tour. Here in Cologne, this famous gig was recorded, to be broadcast across Germany. The set is over 2 hours with some stunning guitar work. Nearly all tracks from Dire Straits first two albums were performed. If you liked Dire Straits early stuff, then this is a must DVD for you!!  Running time is 152 minutes tracks performed.
